ABOUT AMIA

Amia Nico is a gifted vocal artist, lyricist, and accomplished soloist. From a young age, she developed a love for singing and continues to pursue music as it brings her great joy.

Philanthropist and International Statesman Dr. Peter J. Daniels, considered "the best platform speaker in the world" by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, has described Amia's voice as the "voice of a nightingale." Although small, the nightingale is best known for its powerful and beautiful song. The nightingale's brain for creating sound is more significant than most birds, producing more diverse and plentiful melodies.

Amia has performed live for nationally televised sporting events and considers each opportunity to sing a great honor. Her vocal sound is dynamic yet angelic, with soprano and operatic tones. Her passion for God, faith, family, and country inspires her to create moving, reflective, and spiritual music.

Amia trained in Applied Voice at Liberty University with Dr. Becky Morrison, an instructor in the graduate music program. Dr. Morrison is the Associate Professor and Chair of Music Education at Dallas Baptist University. Dr. Morrison received her Bachelor of Music concentrating in Voice from Oklahoma Baptist University, a Master of Music in Opera and Voice from the University of North Texas, a Master of Music Education from Boston University, and a Doctorate in Musical Arts specializing in Voice from the University of Oklahoma.

Amia has also completed advanced wellness coaching training approved by the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching and the National Board of Medical Examiners. On a personal level, she enjoys visiting the beach, creating healthy recipes, reading the latest behavioral sciences and coaching research, spending time with family, and maintaining an active lifestyle.

As a Liberty University alumna, Amia is exclusively available for live performances, private engagements, and special events.
